Max-105AL Low-Frequency Air Plasma Cutter

Non-HF Plasma Cutting Machine

The Max-105AL is a non-high-frequency air plasma cutting machine intended equally for handheld cutting and for automated systems such as CNC cutting tables and robot cells. Digital communication and analogue interfaces are built in, meeting the communication requirements of most automated welding and cutting equipment. Design features - Non-HF arc starting: no high-frequency interference - High duty cycle for sustained heavy industrial work - Three operating modes: standard cutting, continuous pilot-arc cutting and gouging - Digital soft-switching inverter technology for accurate parameter control - Records consumable cutting time and the number of pierces - Automatic gas-pressure detection, which reduces the risk of abnormal torch damage - Automatic protection against over-temperature, under-voltage and phase loss Applications Used for cutting carbon steel, alloy steel and non-ferrous metals. Widely applied in industrial power-plant installation, boilers and pressure vessels, shipbuilding, metallurgy, petrochemicals, aerospace, construction machinery and steel-structure fabrication, and in every industry involving metal cutting and gouging.

  • Machine structures, frames and equipment panels
  • Lifts, parking systems and special-purpose vehicle components
  • Stainless-steel products and food-processing machinery
  • Gouging, weld preparation and repair work

Selection & Setup Notes

105 A is the general-purpose class of fine plasma: one machine covers the great majority of work from thin sheet to medium plate. Plan the supporting equipment at the same time — the MSW-20L water chiller and the DJC-01 torch guard are the usual pairing. The complete comparison is given under non-HF plasma cutting machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much downstream work does it save versus conventional plasma?

A narrower kerf and smaller bevel let most parts skip grinding and re-fixturing. Where parts went on to a mill or borer, saved machining hours are usually the biggest gain.

Why is consumable life shorter?

The constricted arc has higher current density, so the nozzle carries more thermal load. With clean air, correct parameters and scheduled replacement, total cost per part is still lower.

Can it go on a robot?

Yes — the low-frequency start was designed for automation. Confirm torch flange, collision protection and arc voltage interfaces.
