Key Features
- Fine plasma torch with shielded front end for a steadier arc on thin sheet
- Constricted arc column: narrow kerf, small bevel angle and thin heat-affected zone
- High-precision nozzle concentricity and swirl gas path
- Matched to fine plasma power sources and process parameters
- Several current-rated head configurations available
- Easy maintenance and fast consumable replacement
- Interchangeable consumables keeping running cost low
Typical Applications
- Single-pass weld bevel preparation
- Bevels on pressure vessel and boiler components
- K and V bevels in heavy steel structures
- Irregular parts and multi-angle components
Selection & Setup Notes
An angle-head fine torch cuts the bevel in one pass, removing a milling or flame-bevelling operation. Bevel programming needs the angle and compensation configured in the upstream StarCAM process library, and a controller with a rotary axis — see CNC controllers.
