WSM DC Pulsed TIG Welder

TIG / Argon Arc Welder

WSM-315 / 400 / 1000 IGBT DC pulsed TIG welding machine, built with digital inverter technology for complete functionality, high performance, high reliability and accurate control. A high duty cycle suits the heaviest industrial loads. All parameters for TIG and manual welding can be preset, stored and recalled before welding. Protection and indication functions are comprehensive, and the manual welding performance is equally strong. Pulse parameters are adjusted independently, which suits thin sheet and meets higher forming requirements. Applications Mainly for low-carbon steel, stainless steel, high-strength steel, copper and copper alloys. Widely used in aerospace, locomotives, shipbuilding, petrochemicals, pressure vessels, motorcycles, bicycles, thermal power and hydropower, among other fields.

Key Features

  • DC pulsed output with a concentrated arc and controllable heat input
  • Adjustable pulse frequency and duty cycle, markedly reducing thin-sheet distortion and burn-through
  • Stable at low current, suited to thin-wall tube and precision parts
  • Independent pulse parameter adjustment for demanding bead appearance
  • Supports manual wire feed and can be extended with automatic wire feed
  • Complete over-temperature and over-current protection
  • High duty cycle for sustained heavy industrial work

Typical Applications

  • Pipe root passes and thin-wall tube welding
  • Thin stainless sheet and precision components
  • Titanium, copper and their alloys
  • Dissimilar steels and one-side welding with two-side formation

Selection & Setup Notes

DC pulsed TIG suits work that is thin, precise or heat-sensitive: pulsing cuts heat input while peak current maintains penetration. For aluminium, choose the AC/DC inverter TIG. More selection guidance in the TIG welder section.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose pulse frequency?

Use higher frequencies to stabilise the arc on thin sheet and out of position; lower the frequency to control solidification and the rippled bead. Calibrate on test plates.

Will low current burn the tungsten?

Correct tip angle, correct tungsten diameter and adequate post-flow prevent low-current erosion; low-current stability was specifically optimised on this model.

Do I need back purging?

Yes for stainless and titanium — otherwise the root oxidises dark and can develop porosity.
