MS-4000 FineCut Plasma Torch

Plasma Consumables & Parts

MS-4000 fine plasma cutting torch, a high-performance torch developed for fine plasma cutting systems. Its optimised electrode and nozzle geometry produces clean cut faces with little dross, and it is intended for high-accuracy cutting of thin and medium plate. The arc is well columnated, giving high cut quality with minimal dross. The lightweight torch body suits both handheld and machine use. Consumables are widely interchangeable, quick to change and low in running cost, and effective heat insulation and protection extend consumable life. Applications Fine cutting of thin and medium plate in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and aluminium alloys. Widely used in sheet-metal fabrication, construction machinery and equipment manufacturing.

Key Features

  • Fine plasma torch with a constricted arc column, narrow kerf and small bevel angle
  • High-precision nozzle concentricity and swirl gas path design
  • Matched to fine plasma power sources and their process parameters
  • Available in head configurations for several current ratings
  • Torch body designed for easy maintenance and fast consumable change
  • Effective heat insulation and protection extending consumable life
  • Interchangeable consumables for low running cost

Typical Applications

  • Precision plasma cutting on CNC tables
  • High-quality cutting of thin and medium plate
  • Stainless and non-ferrous cutting
  • Parts with appearance and dimensional requirements

Selection & Setup Notes

A fine torch is what actually delivers the advertised performance of precision plasma. For bevels or irregular parts choose the MS-4000AYF adjustable-angle torch; for continuous duty always add the MSW-20L chiller and DJC-01 torch guard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it fit an ordinary power source?

Not recommended. Fine torches are tuned to specific gas flows, arc voltages and current ramps; on a generic source you get abnormal arc voltage and worse edges.

How often should consumables be replaced?

Replace by running hours rather than on failure. A worn nozzle widens the kerf and shifts part dimensions systematically.

Does it need water cooling?

The constricted arc has high current density, so water cooling is strongly recommended for mechanised continuous cutting and improves consumable life.
