Key Features
- 400 A output, the highest in the precision plasma range
- Gas console with air / oxygen / nitrogen selection by process
- Oxygen on carbon steel: clean, low-dross face ready for welding
- Nitrogen on stainless steel and aluminium: natural finish, no grinding
- Closed-loop gas pressure and flow control for consistent batch quality
- Current ripple control for stable output and smooth faces at high current
- Separated HF box and short torch cable: 100% arc-start success
- Heavy-duty torch cooling circuit for maximum consumable life
Typical Applications
- Thick-plate cutting with weld-ready edge quality
- Heavy pressure vessels, boilers and steel structures
- Shipbuilding, offshore and heavy engineering
- High-volume stainless-steel and aluminium processing
- Multi-shift automated cutting lines
Selection & Setup Notes
The Max-400HPR is specified where thickness, edge quality and uptime are all critical. Budget for a high-capacity compressor, a water chiller and a dedicated extraction system. For medium plate the Max-300HPR usually gives a better return; see the whole range under precision plasma cutting machines.
